Losing my father was an immense loss that left a void in my heart that will never be filled. Despite his absence, his dreams for me continue to resonate deeply within me, guiding my every step. It was his belief in my potential that spurred me to embark on a journey to fulfill those aspirations. Inspired by the fond memories of my parents and their shared love for cinnamon rolls, I took a leap of faith and founded Cinnamon and Dough in our hometown of Mount Vernon. My mother's ritual of bringing home a cinnamon roll for my father served as a reminder of their love and shared moments of joy. Yet, in our town, there was a glaring absence of a place to savor a truly exceptional cinnamon roll. In honoring my father's legacy and paying tribute to my parents' unwavering support, I set out to fill that void, striving to create a haven where locals and visitors alike could indulge in the simple pleasure of a delicious cinnamon roll.
